Workshop Schedule

Beginner Tracks

We offer dedicated beginner tracks for Balboa and Shag again. All beginner classes are suitable for participants without previous knowledge or who want to refresh the basics. The Friday classes will focus on classic Balboa in closed position and Saturday on the swing elements in open position like Throw-Out and Lolly Kicks.

Daily Tracks

Workshops can be booked on a daily base. Each day consists of 4 hours of classes. The first three classes are in your respective level of Shag or Balboa. The last class is a special class that you can choose on site.

Friday Classes

Saturday Classes

Workshops

The teachers will address all important aspects like footwork, turns, figures, teamwork, musicality, variations, fun and will adapt the material to the needs of the various class levels.

The studios are equipped with wooden floors! Make sure that you bring shoes with a slippery and non-markable sole (leather soles, suede leather etc.). Rubber soles are not very useful for Balboa. The use of powder, wax and duct tape on shoe soles are not allowed in the studios!  You often have very close contact in Balboa, so don't forget to bring extra shirts, towels, deodorant, toothbrush, etc. (... and use them – your partner will appreciate it!).

Video recording is not permitted during class. If teachers permit it, you can record a summary at the end of the class.

Since Balboa and Shag are lead and follow dances, teachers will rotate partners in class. In general it is up to the teachers if they permit non-rotating couples.
